Austin + Jerrica | Nebraska Wedding Photographer
October 8, 2016 will from henceforth and forever be known as the busiest wedding day in the history of all wedding days in Nebraska. But, hey – that’s just how it goes when you get married during football season and the Husker’s bye week falls during a typically gorgeous time of the year. Also pretty much a given when you sign up to be a Nebraska wedding photographer. When my friend Jerrica emailed me with news of her engagement last year, I was so ecstatic that she thought of me as she was looking for a wedding photographer, and so happy that I still had the date available for them.
Austin and Jerrica are such a fun couple, full of personality, and I thought they did an amazing job of bringing their own unique qualities into their wedding day. Every detail was carefully planned and thought out, and meant something to them and their relationship. From Austin’s amazing cuff links to the totally unique centerpieces, everywhere you looked was something that described who Jerrica and Austin are and what they enjoy.
Jerrica and Austin’s ceremony was short, sweet, and full of love. Their wedding reception took place in the most beautiful backyard, and the food was to die for. They had a “top chef” competition, where three different chefs prepared an appetizer and entree. The reception guests voted for the best of the bunch. Instead of the traditional, run-of-the-mill cake cutting, they opted to cut a pig that Austin had prepared himself (and let me tell you – that thing was DELICIOUS). Their first dances were sweet and simple. Overall, it was a beautiful day, and I am honored that I was able to be there to photograph it.
