Q: You say you’re a “full-service photographer.” What does that mean, anyway?

A: Great question! As a full service photographer, I am right there with you, every step of the way. We get together either on the phone or in person to chat about your session (or wedding!) and what, exactly, you are hoping for, before you even book. Once you have booked your session, I help you plan outfits, come up with the best location to fit your needs, and create an inspiration board that we can both add ideas to. This way, when your session rolls around, we are completely comfortable with one another! Instead of spending an hour feeling awkward in front of the camera, you and I have an awesome time laughing, hanging out, and squeezing a few amazing photos in. Once we are done with your session, instead of just handing over a disk of images that I’ve chosen for you, we get together for your premier ordering session. YOU get to choose your favorite images for editing and for purchase. I’ve got a ton of amazing products that I offer, from albums to prints to canvases. You can touch the products, hold them in your hands, and decide which ones you would like to purchase. I will be there to answer any questions you might have. Once you’ve decided on which products you’d like, the hardest part comes – the waiting! Approximately 2-4 weeks after your ordering session, you will get an email or phone call from me, letting you know that your images are done and ready for delivery! Once I’ve delivered your images, we might be done working together for a while, but I don’t lose contact! I consider every client a friend – after all, we have gotten to know each other very well!


Q: Will you show me ALL of my images?

A: While I would love to be able to show you every single image I take, that just is not feasible. Besides, we are all human – not every photo is going to be perfect! I go through your photos and choose the most flattering ones to present to you at your premier ordering session. At that time, you call the shots – you get to choose which photos to keep and which ones to toss.


Q: How long after my ordering session do you keep my images?

A: I keep purchased images on hand for 5 years. Any unpurchased images will be kept for a period of 2 weeks, should you decide to purchase them. After the two weeks has passed, I discard those images.


Q: How do I know my images won’t be lost?

A: My husband, the tech-guy, has taught me the importance of backing up files! I have files backed up on a server, a hard drive, and online. I ensure that my memory cards are in good working condition before every session.


Q: What is your photography style?

A: If you go through my portfolios, you will see that I love a few things: capturing genuine emotion, getting up close and personal, and soft light. While I own and know how to use artificial lighting, I prefer to use available light rather than creating my own. I love a dreamy blurred background with the focus on you, the client. Instead of completely posed, rigid photos, I strive to capture genuine love and happiness. On occasion, I will do something a little different (dramatic lighting or a wide angle shot, for example), but if you are hiring me, you are hiring me for what you see here.


Q: Do you have a studio?

A: At the moment, I do not have a studio. Maybe someday! I do, however, have access to studio space, so if that is something you are interested in, please let me know in your pre-session consult and I will arrange it.


Q: What’s in your camera bag?

A: I shoot with a Canon 6D, Canon 85mm 1.8, Tamron 70-200mm 2.8, and Tamron 28-75mm 2.8.


Q: Do you have a minimum purchase amount?

A: Nope! If you don’t like your images, you don’t have to purchase them, as simple as that. You can, however, expect to invest between $600 and $1000 on custom portraiture for your home.


Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: Yes! For any purchase over $500, I offer payment plans of up to six months.


Q: Do you guarantee the products you deliver?

A: Yes. Before your products are ordered from my professional lab, I have you look over them. Once the products arrive on my doorstep, I check them to make sure they are the quality that I promise my clients. When I deliver your products to you, you check them one final time and sign off that they are of an acceptible quality to you.
